Jennifer Keane - Piano Tutor

MusicSpark Windsor is privately run piano academy, established by local piano teacher Jenny Keane who teaches from her Windsor Studio. Our tutors are ABRSM, Trinity, and RSL trained, offering both face to face and online lessons from their own home studios in the local area.

All lessons take place in the usual 30 or 60 minute lesson format, but we keep our teaching methods modern and engaging, so we provide an online portal to keep track of lesson notes, a live calendar, interactive learning tools and access to an online bank of repertoire.

We believe no two students are the same. We all learn in our unique way, at our own pace, so we devise a lesson programme tailored to the individual's tastes and learning style, whether that be to follow the traditional graded route, or their own personal musical journey. Our lessons are fun and enjoyable, and our aim is to make learning and playing the piano a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

All our tutors are fully trained to a minimum grade 8 level, hold a clean enhanced DBS certificate, and are experienced in preparing and entering students for exams at all levels.

Patrick Tackney - Piano Tutor

Hi, I'm Patrick Tackney, a Piano Tutor with MusicSpark. I provide lessons in your own home around the Windsor and local area, online, or a combination to of both to allow maximum flexibility to busy schedules.

I have always loved playing the piano and I enjoy playing a variety of genres including classical, pop, film music and jazz.

I started piano lessons from an early age and enjoyed the challenge of learning a new skill which balanced out my sporting activities. As a goal-oriented person, I went through the formal graded route from grades 1 to 8 and went on to achieve a distinction at grade 8.

Outside of piano teaching, my background is in sports coaching and as a qualified Rowing Coach and I have worked at various rowing clubs and schools in the Berkshire area coaching adults and juniors of all levels from complete beginners up to National Champions and crews racing at Henley Royal Regatta.

As a coach and tutor I believe that learning a new skill should be an enjoyable process and that is important to learn the basics well and have a good starting foundation to build upon. My aim as a Piano Tutor is to help students set out and achieve their piano performance goals, whether it is through the graded route, or whether it is to learn a new skill with the correct technique and fundamentals to be able to progress, develop and enjoy playing this instrument.
